I bought them because they bring back fond memories from grade school, and I wanted to share that with my nephew. There were only 8 "back in the day", the new smells are great. But nothing beats the cherry/red one! Customer Rating: Summary: Childhood memories Comment: I am a senior in college and I've been using Mr. Sketch markers since Pre-K -- only now I use them to make flash cards for exams. It helps to use bright colors AND scent when it comes to memorizing. The 6 new scents are good, but they don't compare to the original 12! :-D Customer Rating: Summary: Who doesn't have a memory of sniffing these? Comment: I don't know one kid that wouldn't be able to conjure up the smell of Blue Raspberry markers. Or know that black was licorice, right?
