Customer Rating: Summary: A Very Practical and Durable Backpack Comment: As a college student who carries a laptop computer and a couple of 1000-page textbooks to class everyday, I must say SYNERGY from SwissGear is an extremely practical and durable backpack. It is a large sized backpack so if you're looking for a small backpack that would just carry a laptop computer and a notebook this is not for you. If you are, however, in my situation, this is a perfect backpack that would last a very long time.
The backpack itself is slightly heavier than normal backpacks because it is built very strong. My favorite feature of this backpack is that it has a strong flat base which means you can set it down on the floor and it won't fall over. I use a 14 inch laptop which fits with quite a bit of room to spare. The padding for the laptop looks a bit thin but I had no problem with it so far. Even with the computer in the bag it has plenty of pockets and room for other items. There is a seperate compartment big enough for books and notebooks, and many more smaller pockets all over the backpack. It also has a small pocket for an MP3 player and a hole for the earphones. The pockets for waterbottles are more insulated than the traditional mesh pockets. The side that goes on your back and the straps have extra padding to absorb shock and they are very comfortable.
All in all, a very nicely and practically designed backpack that would last all kinds of weather for a long time. The padding makes it comfortable and the strong base keeps it standing up when you set it down. I recommend this product to people who carry laptops and books for long distances, mainly for college students like myself.
