Customer Rating: Summary: Good Product Comment: I definitely feel safer with my key chain alarm. I don't find it difficult to activate and the placement of the alarm at the end of the key chain makes it very accessible. If I were to think of a negative it would be that I think the alarm sound could have been a bit louder. Nevertheless good product and worth the price. Customer Rating: Summary: Needs a better clasp Comment: I bought four of these alarms. One for each daughter, my mother and myself. The alarm is loud and effective. The two part deactivate is essential since it would keep a would-be attacker from quickly silencing the alarm. The flash light is handy as well. The problem is that 3 out of 4 of chains broke. Mine fell off and the light broke. I still carry it but it would be much more efficient if I could carry it on my keychain.
So if they made a stronger keychain/clasp I would definitely buy another one. Customer Rating: Summary: Being Prepared Comment: Gave this to my young adult daughters as a "stocking stuffer." They were very, very pleased with the decible level of the alarm, the intensity of the light, and the fact that an attacker would find it difficult to turn off the alarm. Customer Rating: Summary: Worth every penny Comment: I bought this for my girlfriend to aid my own peace of mind. I wanted to get her a stun gun/taser or even pepper spray, but she was afraid that an attacker would take it away and use it on her.
What I like about this product:
a) it's loud (of course we tried it)
b) Also includes a flashing light. How many times have you heard a car alarm but could only tell the general direction it was coming from?
c) It requires a 2-step process to shut it off. Even if it's taken away, an attacker would not be able to immediately figure out how to turn it off. While he's trying, or even turning to throw it, she'd have a short opening to run.
She hasn't had to use it yet (thank God) but it did actually activate once when she dropped her keys in the grocery store parking lot. Everyone in the lot turned to look and one guy just entering the store turned and came back out to see what it was. It definitely draws attention
Combines the two best deterrents against attack...a 125db alarm and a flashing light. A hidden disarm switch ensures that only the owner can deactivate the unit. Can be used as a flashlight without activating the alarm to provide additional nighttime safety. Battery included.
