Spotlight customer reviews:
Customer Rating: Summary: Good basic software license Comment: Overall this download was not quite what I was expecting. I was expecting more content from which I could pick and choose the relevant pieces. The license agreement is only two pages long and leaves out a few items like the definition of software. While it did address most licensing issues, I felt that the customization was very limited as was the licensing model (licensing per computer or device). I had to look at other sources to complete my licensing agreement.
I would recommend that you use this as a starting point if you are strapped for time like I was, but if you have a more complex licensing scheme in mind and the time to do more research, I would look elsewhere.
If you are selling (or giving away) downloadable software on the web, it's important to make sure all of your bases are covered. Instant Attorney's Click-Wrap License Agreement will help you to do just that. Instant Attorney has written a customizable agreement that you can require your customers to accept before they download your software.
Instant Attorney's Click-Wrap License Agreement is written in plain English that is easy for non-legal minds to understand. The agreement includes standard language for use, use restrictions, reverse engineering, ownership, disclaimer of warranty, limitation of liability, confidentiality, severability, governing law, and more.
Instant Attorney contract templates are the next generation in e-books. All Instant Attorney templates come with customizable fields that would be virtually impossible to include in a physical book. E-books are finally allowing their users to do things that were unimaginable with regular books. Like all Instant Attorney documents, the Click-Wrap License Agreement is exceptionally easy to use. Page three of the document provides fields to customize your company name, the software's name, the license fee, the # of permitted installation locations per license, and even the state whose laws and courts will govern the agreement. After this information is entered, the relevant fields in the actual click-wrap license agreement are automatically populated. The document also includes a license to use the agreement for your business use.
