Customer Rating: Summary: Its Just OK Comment: I've had this thing for over a year. It isn't too bad. It does sort quickly and keep track of the counts. But as others have mentioned, when it gets full, I have to pull it out, dump all the quarters in until I hit right the limit, then do it again just to be sure. Gets annoying, especially for all the pennies you always fill it with.
Then about 2 months ago, it started jamming. Every time I'd dump even just a few quarter in there it came to a griding halt. And it always manages to jam so tight its incredibly difficult to get out the jammed coin.
And it was kinda expensive.
I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a machine that accurately counted correctly on the 1st try, stopped when it was full, and was hopefully made of something more durable with closer tolerances knowing it would last longer and not jam. So now the hunt begins for that machine....
Customer Rating: Summary: Digital Coin Sorter Comment: This particular digital coin sorter is considerably better than the higher priced coin sorter (selling for over $70.). It shows how many coins and how much in cash total are in each of the coin value windows, It also appears to be built to last longer. The only downside is that it takes awhile to realize that you have to pull out the drawer to obtain the coin storage tubes. Once you have accomplished this, it is easy to access the tubes.
The other slight downside is that you are not quite positive when you have reached the maximum amount needed to fill a particular coin roll when there is an overflow of coins. However, this is no different from most other coin sorter.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's a Toy Comment: I returned it within an hour or two of purchase. It did not sort accurately nor did it count the amount of money accurately. I was hoping it would save some time but in the end it takes more time do make sure of it's accuracy than to just roll coins manually. I wasn't all that impressed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Digital Coin Sorter Comment: Discovery Digital Coin Sorter with 100 Free Coin wrapper Tubes
Besides the digital battery powered display, which seems to be very accurate, I do not recommend purchasing this coin sorter. Why you might ask? Well, after carefully following the usage directions and using the sorter to count over $300 dollars worth of coins I began having jamming problems. At first it was only after sorting say 30 coins, but then gradually decreased down to every 5-10 coins or so. Basically, since it uses plastics cut-outs the shape of a coin and a lever that stops each coin and places it in the proper size slot; after a while, the quarters were being placed in the nickels tube and the nickels were being placed in the pennies tube. I was not aware of this immediately of course, so you may be running the coin sorter for quite some time before you begin to see this occur.
You can turn off the coin sorter and remove the jammed coins both in the coin opening on top as well as the coins placed in the incorrect tubes, but this will occur again once you turn the machine back on. Thus, causing much frustration and for the most part defeats the purpose of purchasing a coin sorter. I was able to complete coin sorting and really liked the battery powered display, which allows you to subtract each individual type of coin to a whole role. But was so saddened to find the machine keeps jamming. Lastly, even if your coin sorter lasts for some time, which mine began jamming during my first and last session of counting coins, instructions indicate that the coin sorter should be serviced by a professional, which basically means you either throw it away or pay someone to fix it. Please do not buy this product as I feel that the manufacturer really needs to work on removing the jamming issues, which cause a lot of frustration.

The Digital Coin Sorter with its new sorting technology electronically sorts and counts coins showing a grand total on the digital display. With the press of a button you can see how many dimes, pennies, nickels, quarters and dollar coins are in each coin tube. After a moment, the display will return to the grand total. Coins may also be subtracted from the total as desired. The Digital Coin Sorter sorts all coins, including the new dollar coin, right into the coin tubes with or without the preformed paper wrappers. Drop up to fifty coins into the hopper... just push the button and watch as the Digital Coin Sorter electronically sorts, counts and stacks coins rapidly into the waiting coin tubes! A handy, easy access overflow tray collects all coins that spill off the top of the full coin tubes. Just pull the drawer forward and lift out the filled tube and -- presto! -- "bank-ready" rolls of coins! Sample coin wrappers included. This product is not intended for high volume or commercial use. AC Adapter for bank operation included. LCD requires two "AAA" batteries, not included.
